All About CatDog

No one knows where they came from, or how they were born as conjoined twins. Are they mutants? Space aliens? A science experiment gone wrong? Just plain ol' freaks? All we know for certain about CatDog is this: they're interesting enough separately, but together they make one heck of a team!

As far as Cat, Dog, or anyone else knows, they are the only "bicranial quadruped" in the entire world. For this, CatDog is normally looked upon as a freak, a mistake of nature, a disgrace to felinedom / caninedom, a scapegoat, and many other negative labels. This often gets to Cat, but Dog barely notices the things that people say. This makes Cat the pessimist of the duo, while Dog is the optimist. Cat is also the dissatisfied one who schemes to make their lives better, but since Dog is so happy he likes things just the way they are. This alone can cause a conflict between them, but most of the time, Dog backs up Cat on all his decisions and helps him with all of his plans, no matter how crazy they are-- Dog cares more about Cat's happiness than his own. Sadly, Dog never notices that Cat is pretty selfish... but deep down, Cat loves Dog as much as Dog loves him, and when Dog's in trouble, Cat will always pull through.

Being born connected may cause them to fight a lot - after all, no team is perfect! -, but in the end, Cat and Dog manage to live their lives happily through compromise and cooperation... they can never solve their problems without each other's guidance and support. In every sense of the idea, they cannot live without each other. And really, would we have it any other way? ;)

When Cat gargles, Dog spits.
If Dog holds in a sneeze, Cat sneezes instead.
When Dog eats something spicy, Cat breathes fire. Cat has melted an ice sculpture, cooked somebody's food, and propelled CatDog into space with his fiery breath.
If Cat licks his fur clean, Dog coughs up a hairball.
When Dog eats garbage, Cat burps up smelly, chewed-up trash.
If Dog eats too fast, Cat gets the hiccups.
If Cat or Dog eats too much candy, the other one gets cavities in his teeth.
Dog once ran away from home and stretched around the world. Winslow had to travel through CatDog's stomach to find Dog and bring him home.
Cat once ate Dog's goldfish. Cat felt so guilty, he climbed into Dog's mouth and searched their stomach for the goldfish.
Once, CatDog put out a raging fire by having Dog clamp his mouth on a fire hydrant and Cat spew out water like a hose.

CatDog's Rules to Live By

Don't go anywhere without your brother (not that you have a choice).
Decide who's going to lead before you get out on the dance floor.
Always take cover when Dog eats spicy tacos. The results can be explosive-- for Cat.
Steer clear of all-you-can-eat places. They are dangerous, especially for Cat, who shares a stomach with Dog!
Never trust a Greaser.
Don't mess with the Greasers, or you'll end up in a knot.

CatDog's Sports Pages
Even though Cat would rather take a nap than play sports, he and Dog make quite a team!

CatDog loves bikes rides: Cat steers, and Dog pedals. But when the Greasers cross their path, it's time to hit the brakes!
Baseball is CatDog's favorite game-- especially when they get to watch a double-header! Sadly, when it comes to actually playing baseball, Cat isn't very good. Everyone rags on him for it whenever CatDog's neighbors make nice for a quick game.
No matter what the sport, Dog just can't sit still. When Dog yells, "Hi-ho-diggety!" Cat holds on for dear life!
"Mush, Dog, mush!" yells Cat. He's not about to let the Greasers win the Idigadog sled race!

He's My Brother...
Having your brother attached to you is good and bad-- at the same time!

Cat hates...
that Dog chases the mailman and rips the seat off his pants.
Mailmen are afraid to deliver Cat's mail - which may include a savory whitefish chub from the Fish-of-the-Month Club.

Cat loves...
that Dog does all the hard work-- even though it's usually one of Cat's crazy ideas!
Whether Dog is in training for an Idigadog sledding competition, or "pumping up" to fight the Greasers, he's always putting in the effort, even if the plan backfires-- in a huge way!

Cat hates...
how much Dog can eat.
Dog will keep on eating and eating until he makes both himself and Cat sick. In a dance contest once, Dog ate everything in sight, including the band-- and their trophy!

Dog hates...
that Cat hates water.
Thank goodness for Cat's specially designed wet suit!

Dog also hates...
when Cat doesn't want to play or go outside.
Cat would rather lay in the sun or write in his diary than play fetch and chase a truck.

Dog loves...
that Cat puts up with all of his messy habits, like rolling in cow pies or tracking mud in the house.
Dog knows that in the end, Cat loves Dog just the way he is!

What's Doin'?
CatDog does lots of stuff all day. If you were CatDog, this is how you'd spend your time:
